Summary

I haven't had as much time to blog, so here is a summary of my first week.

The feel is pretty different. It is a HUGE school! I know how to get to my classroom and I could probably get to a few other places near it, however, I haven't even seen most of the school. Most of the kids are well pretty well off and you can tell by the way they dress and by looking at the student parking lot. That is quite different from Sweetwater.

My mentor is very social within the school and I have met a lot of other teachers as well as Assistant Principals and the Principal. My mentor has recommended that I treat this Practicum as one long interview, and I will keep that in mind. I hope to meet a lot of people and make as many connections as I can.

On Thursday I was able to make a vocabulary quiz on Progressive and Imperialism. The students took it on Friday. I am quite proud of it, although I made two mistakes on it. It is exciting that I am getting involved more quickly this semester and already producing documents that I will be able to take with me.

My first week went by quickly and was very eventful, I hope that the rest of the semester goes as well.
