Many of the students are bilingual and the school makes great efforts to provide copies of flyers and newsletters in both English and Spanish so that any parents or students who are not proficient in English may have an opportunity to read them if Spanish is their first language. My mentor teacher speaks Spanish, and told me that many parents appreciate that fact when he calls home.
